Snow Peak

Snow Peak is a three-generation family business. Located in Sanjo City, Snow Peak began in 1958 when Yukio Yamai created a line of climbing gear. Yamai's discontent with the then-current climbing gear led to a complete redesign. Eventually, the company was passed on to Tohru Yamai who placed Snow Peak on a new level. Lisa Yamai runs the latest iteration of Snow Peak, Snow Peak Apparel.

For the past 60 years, Snow Peak has expanded from climbing gear to cookware, cutlery, tents and chairs. In many ways, Snow Peak is your go-to option for quality equipment.

Just as they have given so much to their customers, they have also given back to their environment. After all, without a healthy environment how can we have adventures? The Snow Peak team assists in Friends of Trees and SOLVE Oregon projects, improving parks for future generations.

All Snow Peak equipment is tested in the Snow Peak Campfield. This 41-acre field next to their headquarters shows all four seasons. For this reason, the Snow Peak Campfield is the perfect spot to test for any potential defects. By prioritizing testing their gear, Snow Peak ensures the highest quality available.
